BSG is complete.

20 March, 2009 (22:26) | BSG

I just finished watching the Battlestar Galactica series finale.
I’m spent.
It was so intense and fulfilling.  It was painful, beautiful, stunning.
It was the best series ending I have ever witnessed.  Nothing has touched me like this.
I cried.  I cried like a baby.
Four years, and it’s over.  Not over.  Complete.  It is finished.
Wow.
Bravissimo.

A few movie reviews

28 June, 2008 (23:15) | BSG, Movies

Just my two cents on a few movies I’ve seen recently.
Ironman (real theatre)
Great movie.  Fun ride.  You have to suspend disbelief a bit, but a good ride.  A little bit trite (actually, cornball trite) on the climax, but really fun.  Only one thing really bothers me: the bald scientist that was trying to help invent the power source [...]

Kung Fu Panda, etc.

7 June, 2008 (16:21) | BSG, Movies

Super fun movie.

You’ve [...]

THEY KILLED CALLY!

OK, I know it’s been a long time since I posted. Soooo busy. Note that I’m posting this at 3:30am. We just had rock drummer Nick D’Virgilio, most famously the drummer for the band Spock’s Beard, put on a clinic and absolutely slamming performance in the auditorium. Man, was that awesome. I so miss performing [...]

Did I mention…

23 September, 2005 (23:42) | BSG

… that Battlestar Galactica is the greatest show ever?
Holy cow.
If you’ve ever been a science fiction fan as a child, then this is scifi for grown-ups. Wow.
I am impressed on so many levels with the reimagining of the BSG universe. No more games — this is a universe where, totally unlike Star Trek, the technology [...]

Heat-treated Sodium Bicarbonate

12 August, 2005 (23:43) | BSG, Weird

I have come to the conclusion that Alka-Seltzer is one of God’s great gifts to mankind. The label indicates that the sodium bicarbonate was heat-treated. Was there ever a time when it wasn’t heat-treated? What are the benefits of heat-treating? My tummy rejoices, nonetheless.
Most television is poop. Battlestar Galactica (the new Sci Fi version), however, [...]
